This car has demanded the attention of me and everyone who's has had the pleasure of being in the company of this rough and ready r32 skyline. Its the perfect combination of clean aesthetic with the battle scars of enjoyment of being behind the wheel of such a raw piece of Japanese engineering.

Although this was not its original form, this car started out as a less aggressive version of the R32 being the GT version which comes with a 2 litre inline 6 engine known as the RB20DE.

Despite what people think of the R32 skyline not all are as brutal as the GTR, The RB20DE only produced 148bhp significantly lower than the GTR. But this skyline had bigger aspirations which is why the RB20 was ripped out and in its place its successor the RB25DET first introduced in the R33 skyline. Bringing the power output from 148bhp up to a lively 250bhp from factory. But this RB25 engine is anything but factory spec.

A lot of time, money, and specialised parts have been poured into this power plant full spec will be left below but here are a couple of shots of the engine and the little details that really tie it together aesthetically.

Whats nice about the current styling of the car is its subtle yet aggressive look. Its really is a shine during the day and lurks at night kinda car. with the power of a competition drift car in a functional road car it really is a treat to see people drive these cars the way they were built to drive.

Of course the interior design isn't exactly factory finished either, the first eye catching pieces is the genuine pair of Bride Egro 1 seats in the front and truly adds to the value and attention to detail that was continued in other aspects of the car.

If you go a out with seats you have to follow up with a steering wheel upgrade. a functional and subtle genuine Nardi Torino deep corn steering wheel a sharp wheel for a sharp car. Sitting behind the steering wheel is a GFB G force 2 electronic boost controller.

the R32 interior is a driver orientated interior catering for the drivers needs above all else, The way the dash, centre console and the controls around the cluster just wrap around you. This style of dash is influenced in other Japanese classics such as the Toyota supra mk4 and the FD Mazda rx7. This car is full of little JDM goodies such as the Trust Grex gear shifter, the Gfb boost controller and depo boost gauge.

To tie in with the red bride seats is the Karo checkered mats these are a 5 piece set and are quiet rare, but they really do set this car off with that 90s Japan look. Sitting in this car is like going back in time to the early 90s in Japan.

The black on black colour scheme can be quiet a dull option on most cars but the shape and body lines of the R32 gives the colours a purpose which in my opinion gives the car an aura of stealth.

Wheels are a massive styling point for a car and when it comes to filling arches on this monster it has to be a genuine set of Work Emotions.

9.5 inch wide on front, behind the front wheels the car is sitting on driftworks cs2 coilovers, accompanied by driftworks front tension rods, driftworks extra lock inner tie rods and new tracking rods.

In the rear we have a thick 10.5 inch, accompanied by HSD mono pro coilovers. Really filling up the rear arch quiet nice. of course completing the rear end we have the GTR spoiler and gtst rear spats.

Gtr rear lights to really set off the over all look of the rear. Of course its not a GTR but instead of the GTR badge we have a nicely aged nismo sticker just above the light I assume this was applied in Japan from the condition of the sticker but its these little extras and styling pieces that bring a rich little history to a car.

On front we have the flushed gtst bumper with independent reg plate holder, GTR headlights and Gtr side skirts.

This car was built for purpose and that purpose is to be enjoyed by owner and spectator and the world of Japanese classics. time and time again I see people build car to this high spec and structure and hide it away in a bubble or dry store shed which from a value standpoint is the best choice but for a love of Japanese classics this car is enjoyed and drove quiet frequently which is refreshing to see. Cars like these have numbered days on public roads so lets enjoy them for what they are while they are around.
